Tim Rickitt and Alex Horne working together again

Rickitt Partnership is delighted to announce that, from 1 September 2026, Alex Horne has joined us as a director. 

Alex has nearly forty years’ experience working as an estate agent in Cheshire, North Wales, Wirral and Shropshire and he was Tim’s business partner during their tenure at their first agency, Rickitt Grant.  Tim explains that he is delighted to have Alex on board at Rickitt Partnership

“This feels like a completing of the circle.  Working together in the 1990s and 2000s we got to know each other inside and out, with our skills perfectly complementing one other’s.  The result was that we built a hugely successful agency in Rickitt Grant.  I am looking forward to seeing what our older (and wiser!) selves can achieve at Rickitt Partnership”

Alex’s appointment represents a hugely exciting milestone in our journey.  He has a wealth of industry experience and knowledge that, in the local market, can only be rivalled by Tim Rickitt, our Managing Director.   Alex is well-known for his professionalism and hard work and is universally liked by colleagues, co-professionals and clients alike. His credentials are second to none with a Bachelor of Education (Honours) and a Diploma in Surveying under his belt. It goes without saying that Alex is a dedicated, experienced estate agent, with in depth knowledge of every facet of the industry.  His specialisms include residential and land valuations, residential investment sales and purchases, as well as valuations for probate, CGT, HMRC, leasehold enfranchisement and matrimonial cases.

Alex is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents. Being a past Chairman of the Chester Association of Auctioneers, Estate Agents and Surveyors, he is a well known and respected local figure and, as such, he is a regular presence at local professional meetings and networking events. In addition, over the years, Alex has acted for a number of charities, trusts and for the University of Chester, Chester Zoo and The Grosvenor Estate. With these credentials and his eminently personable approach, there is no doubt that Alex will do an excellent job in raising our profile yet further within the local industry and community.
