Well, I did not anticipate this return to winter and, as a result of the drop in temperature, I have been spending most of the week ensconced in a warm house or an equally warm office. So, it came as a bit of a shock to look in the diary and see that I was expected to leave the cosy confines of Rickitt Partnership, brave the elements, and head off (on foot!!) to review a townhouse that has come on the market with us this week.
Luckily The Town House is located a mere five minutes walk from our office on Bridge Street. Nonetheless, the Artic temperatures required a brisk pace and so there was no dawdling or pausing to inspect interesting sights and smells this week! I was a pug on a mission, with the objective of getting from one warm building to another in the quickest possible time!
My pug-sized fitbit clocked a record time of only 4 minutes 32 seconds before I found myself standing in front of a very attractive modern town house.
Once through the front door I found myself in a good sized entrance hall with a very handy storage area located behind the stairs - perfect for storing all my pug paraphernalia out of the way of the main living accommodation.
The Town House is a three storey property and, not having exercised as much as I should have done due to this cold spell, I do have to confess to “feeling the burn” whilst power running up the two flights of stairs! At the top of the first set of stairs, I found myself on a landing area with the stairs to the second floor in front of me, the kitchen off to the right and the sitting room beyond the staircase. My first port of call was the kitchen – a contemporary space with marble effect worktops and striking black floor tiles together with white, brick effect wall tiles. The kitchen feels very stylish and “en vogue”, and the Georgian style window only adds to its charm.
Claws clattering on the wood effect flooring, I trotted in to the sitting room and was thrilled to find a spacious, light-filled room which is perfect for both quiet nights in as well as entertaining. I could easily picture my pals from my support group “Cheshire Pugs Are Great – we deserve to be treated like Royalty” hanging out here, being waited on by our loyal humans!
Feeling quite the “pug about town” I put on my best urban swagger and sauntered up the stairs to the second floor. Arriving on the landing, I found an attractive and contemporary bathroom to my left, the master bedroom to my right and another bedroom in front of me. With inset spot lighting, both bedrooms feel fresh, light and spacious.
To add to The Town House’s practical charms, it comes with a secure parking space in a gated area to the rear of the house. It ticks so many boxes that it truly is a property not to be missed for those who want to experience modern, stylish city living. The piece de resistance is that it is located very close to the racecourse – a perfect place for a pug to frolic around on a lazy Sunday morning, playing catch with an ever accommodating human!
