A day in the life of Ralph Rickitt
We spoke to Ralph Rickitt, Head of Customer Relations at our independent Cheshire estate agency, Rickitt Partnership, to find out how he fills his working day. Meeting up over a coffee (and a bowl of Wainwright’s biscuits), Ralph explained that the agency is never far from his thoughts.
Our Head of Customer Relations has an early start, as he likes to be in the office by about 7.30am. He explains that this gives him a chance to answer emails and organise his day before the phone starts ringing. Ralph continues “The day tends to start with a bit of blue sky thinking – it may appear that I am fast asleep under the desk whilst the morning meeting takes place, but I do all my best creative thinking in repost!”
After the morning meeting it is time to head off for the days appointments – market appraisals with potential new vendors “I accompany my Dad and John on many of their market appraisals as I personally think that my charm is essential in winning new instructions.”; and viewings with potential purchasers (the power of my charm applies equally here). I also head off to new instructions recently added on to our books. This is to view the property from a “pug’s eye” perspective. My Ralph’s Reviews are an invaluable marketing tool which bring our properties to life.
Back in the office, Ralph explains that the rest of the day consists of a myriad of social interactions – meeting and greeting visitors. He also spends time at the computer, replying to emails and offering advice on all aspects of selling and letting property through his Ask Ralph blog.
In a whirlwind of designer harnesses, shampoo, sparkling dog coat conditioner and pug accessories, Ralph announced “I must dash, I am off for a photo shoot for the front cover of the next issue of Acquire magazine! Watch out for it in May.”
Well, we feel quite exhausted just listening to Ralph, no wonder he needs the odd power nap or two! Ralph takes his role very seriously and would love for you to pop in and meet him at our offices on Bridge Street in Chester.
