Well, there was no getting away from it, now it is my turn to face the questions! Read on to find out more about Danielle Mullen.
WHAT MADE YOU FIRST GET INTO ESTATE AGENCY?
I think I have an inherent curiosity for and fascination with houses!
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?
When I was a lowly student I had bar jobs but my first full time job was working as a groom for an event rider. It was great fun, hard-work and poorly paid! I realised after a while that I would probably have to look outside of the horse world to make a living. I then spent the best part of 20 years working in magazine publishing, working on high profile National brands and latterly on glossy regional publications. I am now lucky enough to have a flexible and varied working life.
WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB?
Everyone at Rickitt Partnership is totally committed to doing the very best job for our clients. It is refreshing to work within such a totally professional environment. It is also very rewarding to help market a new business and see it flourish.
WHAT IS THE WORST PART OF YOUR JOB?
I am genuinely struggling to think of one, so that must be good news!
DESCRIBE RICKITT PARTNERSHIP IN 3 WORDS
Committed to clients. Everyone at Rickitt Partnership is 100% committed to doing the very best job for our clients offering excellent service, market knowledge, customer care and property marketing.
IF YOU WERE NOT AN ESTATE AGENT WHAT WOULD YOUR DREAM JOB BE?
I am lucky enough to have a varied working life. Aside from my marketing role at Rickitt Partnership and with other clients, I am also an equine physical therapist and this genuinely is my dream job. So, when I am not working in an office I am privileged enough to spend my time treating horses for injury rehab and optimum performance. I adore this part of my life, I worked hard studying for several years whilst working full time so that I could achieve my dream and I have never looked back since.
IF YOU HAD A SUPERPOWER WHAT WOULD IT BE?
As there are never enough hours in the day I would love to “stretch time” – to make a 24 hour day into a 28 hour day would be really useful!
AFTER WORK WHAT DO YOU ENJOY…?
As you may expect, my great passion in life is horses. Whenever I have any spare time I can pretty much always be found with my horse – riding or generally playing around with him. I do also love live music, my musical taste is eclectic ranging from classical (I love Mozart) to indie rock and almost anything in between. Whatever the genre there is nothing quite like experiencing an artist or band live in concert. If I want to be truly indulgent, I adore settling down with a good book. Nothing beats the escapism of opening the pages and becoming instantly absorbed. I do also love travelling but I have to confess that I do not do enough of it, that is something that I aim to change in the next few years!
3 THINGS THAT DEFINE YOU
A love of the countryside
WHERE ARE YOU HAPPIEST?
On a day to day basis I am without doubt at my happiest when I am with my horse. My time with my horses has always been the time when I am at peace and can feel truly myself.
On an aspirational level I absolutely adore anywhere in the Caribbean so when I win the lottery I will be buying a lovely little bolthole probably on the island of Nevis and spending at least a month a year doing nothing more taxing than lying on a white sandy beach and drinking sundowners!....
