2020 is proving to be a year during which normality has been turned on its head; a year of challenges for all of us and a time to reassess priorities for many. We have all been spending more time at home and this renewed focus on our home life is certainly being reflected in the housing market with properties coming on the market as people seek homes to better accommodate their and their families’ needs.
At Rickitt Partnership we are definitely seeing a desire for an improved quality of life; whilst some people have found that their family has outgrown their current home, others have decided it is time to downsize and others yet are preparing for a move from town to rural life or vice versa. Whatever the individual motivation, there is a clear focus on family life and being able to enjoy the space we live in. We are also seeing an emphasis on wanting to work with an agency that has a real heritage and depth of experience. In these rather uncertain times it has never been more important to have that feeling of confidence in your agent.
With this in mind we thought it might be a pertinent to tell you a little bit about the background and history of Rickitt Partnership. Steering the helm is our Managing Director, Tim Rickitt. Tim began his career in estate agency in 1991 and the subsequent years saw him rise through the ranks, gaining vast experience and an enviable professional reputation along the way. Having helped a number of agencies launch their own successful prestige divisions, Tim decided in 1998 to launch his own agency and so the doors were opened to Rickitt Grant.
Under the guidance of Tim’s enthusiasm, dedication and extensive market knowledge, Rickitt Grant rapidly achieved great success and in the first full year of trading the agency won The NAEA Best Independent Estate Agent in the North West Award.
Thereafter the profile of the business went from strength to strength and in May 2007, Tim was approached with an offer to buy his business and the agency was purchased by Savills.
Always one to rise to a challenge Tim knew that he would set up another agency again as and when the time was right, and that time came when he met his wife Emma. Rickitt Partnership was set up in 2017 and has since secured it’s place as an agency which offers exceptional, bespoke, personalised service to both vendors and purchasers.
